During the big press junket today, Steve over at Collider had the great opportunity to speak with New Moon director Chris Weitz about what we can expect from the DVD for the film. Of course, this is not finalized yet, but it gives us some great things to look forward to.

Good Lord this is pure torture!

Here’s my question….the Twilight fans are obsessed with seeing stuff they haven’t seen before. So how many minutes do you think of footage that’s not in the theater would be on the DVD/Blu-ray?

Weitz: I’d say a good ten minutes of groovy stuff they haven’t seen.

Chris is so groovy to use the term groovy! Cheesy

I really hope all of the three leads and Chris will be on the commentary. I reckon it's gonna be a blast!

already. Yahoo!

I wish Chris W did a directors cut, like Peter Jackson did with the LOR series.
I have them and they are just amazing, they are long, you have to flip each DVD over, but it is so worth it.
There are so many scenes that are not in the orignal movie but are in the books, each movie ends up being like 4 hrs long.

All those deleted and extended scenes put right into the movie. Love

I would love to have a 4 hr New Moon DVD to swoon over. Thud!

Especially if there was the commentary to go with it. Thud!

We would all buy it, in a heartbeat. Love

Very cool! Can't wait-I so love extras-the more the better! Does that mean that the Blue-Ray will have 10 extra minutes? I might have to buy a Blue-Ray player. ROTFL!

Did the Twilight Blue-Ray disc have extra stuff the other DVD's didn't have?
